Nichol McKay, the Total Supply Partner of Engineered Products, has reaffirmed its commitment to recruiting local skills with the recruitment of four new engineering apprentices to the company in September 2014.

They will be starting a four year-training programme, joining 12 other  apprentices who are now working throughout the company’s 130,000 sq ft manufacturing complex at Prestwick. Some of these successful recruits are pictured above.

All have emerged through Nichol McKay’s long-standing partnership with Kilmarnock College’s successful HNC course in Mechanical Engineering, established by the company’s founder, the late Raymond Nichol.

“It’s vital that we continue to invest in developing our own skills and talent,” said Managing Director Andrew Nichol. “Out of our total workforce of 160 more than 30 staff have now come through our apprentice programme: increasing they represent the core of skills and expertise that we need to continue driving the business further up the performance and quality league.”
